CDMSTM
CDMSTM ("Cipher Device Management System") is Semtek’s management and control functionality for the Cipher Modules that reside in payment devices. CDMS provides a wide array of management and measurement functionality, including:
- Real time monitoring: CDMS evaluates each and every swiped transaction and determines in real time whether or not that individual transaction is secure. If a security vulnerability is identified, the system alerts business owners with specific and clear data on the location and nature of the problem.
- Remote Key Management (RKM): CDMS is the home of Semtek’s remote key management system that enables the remote functionality for creating, changing, and monitoring cryptographic keys resident within the Cipher Module.
- Real time anti-counterfeiting tool: CDMS is also the home of Semtek’s anti card counterfeiting tool, Warble. Within CDMS resides the functional toolset and administrative console for managing the Warble data and defining business rules for putting the Warble to work.
- Merchant Portfolio Monitoring: CDMS provides merchant acquirers with the first definitive tool for knowing with certainty whether any given merchant’s card transactions are secure in real time. This tool can be put to work to manage risk across the entire merchant portfolio without having to rely on self-reporting of PCI DSS compliance by merchants.
